Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union is the National Governing Body for the aquatic sports of swimming, diving, water polo, synchronize swimming and open water swimming. We administer all the above aquatic sports in accordance with the FINA rules and regulations while committing to provide a safe and positive environment for all stake holders.
As the National Governing Body for the sports of swimming, diving, water polo, synchronize swimming and open water swimming in Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) promotes the culture of aquatic sports by creating opportunities for athletes and coaches of all backgrounds to participate and advance in the respective sports.
Our membership is comprised of athletes from the age group level to the Olympic Team, as well as coaches and volunteers. SLASU is responsible for selecting and training teams for international competition including the Olympic Games, and strives to serve the sport through its core objectives: Build the base, Promote the sport, Achieve competitive success.
